Lake Comegy in South Rehoboth

Enjoy the unique setting of this beautiful townhouse on lovely Lake Comegys, a five-minute stroll to the beach and within walking distance of Rehoboth and Dewey restaurants. Overlooking a spring-fed lake, this tastefully decorated, fully updated three-bedroom getaway boasts a large master bedroom with floor-to-ceiling windows that overlooks the lake, and a tiled bath that guests say is "to die for." Two other bedrooms have twins with top-of-the-line bedding.

The townhouse is decorated with watercolor scenes by noted Delaware artists. Carpeting throughout, with tiled floors in the kitchen and the 3 baths. The new two-zoned stereo ! system allows kids to watch cable TV or DVDs in the living room while parents relax on the screened porch listening to music from nearly 200 CDs. Chess and backgammon and a collection of board games are also available to our guests to enjoy on the screened porch.

Outside, kids play Frisbee on the broad lawn while parents sit sipping drinks in our lakeside Adirondack chairs. Even during the bustle of July and August, it's always quiet on Lake Comegys, a wildlife preserve that is home to osprey and a fabulous blue heron, while turtles and fish fill its waters -- kids and parents catch sunnies and bass all summer long (though we ask that you toss them back).

Access to the beach from Chesapeake Street through its famed "canopy" of trees. You have beach necessities such as sand chairs, boogie boards, a skim board and a barbecue grill are available for your use.

Activities/attractions within just a few minutes drive include golf, biking, hiking, para-gliding, jet skiing, cinemas, and of course, Rehoboth Boardwalk, all of which makes this a perfect family vacation retreat. For shopping, it's just a short drive to the outlets.
