The Rehoboth Beach-Dewey Beach Chamber of Commerce is pleased to host the 36th Annual Sandcastle Contest on Saturday, August 2, 2014. The contest takes place at Fisherman's Beach at the north end of the Rehoboth Beach Boardwalk.  Registration begins at 8:30am and judging begins at 3pm.  Tons of great prizes! Over 100 teams are expected to express their artistic flair. Past creations have included Swamp Animals, Mermaids, Pyramids, Crabs, Dolphins, Sharks and of course traditional sandcastles. Beachgoers who would rather watch than work are welcome to view the incredible creations free of charge.

Part 7 of Ten Sisters Dewey Beacy run walk series 2014. Choose to run a 10k or 5k then celebrate on the deck of the Rudder with a Bud Light for those over 21. Tech tees, chip timing, usatf course.

Bring your family, a blanket, and some popcorn to Dewey beach on Monday for family movie night!  Movies will start at approximately 8:30 P.M on the beach at Dagsworthy St. in Dewey.  This event is WEATHER DEPENDENT.  In event of inclement weather, cancellations will be determined no later than 7:00 PM on day of event. Notice of cancellation will be posted at the Dewey Beach Life Saving Station Bulletin Board.  Staff will notify Dewey Beach accommodations of cancellations made prior to the start of an event.  If weather is clear event will take place as scheduled, but may ended at any time during due to weather conditions.

Want “S’MORE” fun?  Bring your family, beach chair and some marshmallows to the beach at Dagsworthy St. in Dewey on Wednesdays for a bonfire!  Bonfires will be held every Wednesday from 7:30 PM to 11:00 PM, June 18th through August 27th.  This event is WEATHER DEPENDENT.  In event of inclement weather, cancellations will be determined no later than 6:00 PM on day of event. Notice of cancellation will be posted at the Dewey Beach Life Saving Station Bulletin Board.  Staff will notify Dewey Beach accommodations of cancellations made prior to the start of an event.  If weather is clear event will take place as scheduled, but may ended at any time during due to weather conditions.

Run or walk the fast flat usatf cert. 5k course then join in on a FREE pancake breakfast sponsored by the Dewey Beach Lions Club. Beer bloody Mary's provided to those over 21.
