Scooters - A Way of Life

Librarian Janet Bowen’s enthusiasm for scooters has led her to do research on the evolution of scooters, which she will share in this program. Do you own or rent scooters in the Rehoboth area? We would love to put together a collage of photos of scooter life in our community. Even better -- come by the Museum on your scooter and we will take the picture. $5 suggested donation. Kids Camp-At-The-Zoo Week

Painting with a Twist Kids Camp (Ages 7-12) – July 17 to 21, 2017 – 9 AM to Noon; $200/week, or $40/day. Campers will explore animals At the Zoo all week through paintings, games, and other fun activities. They will paint a 16 X 20 painting each day M-F, and the week will end with an art show Friday afternoon from Noon - 1 pm. Camp fee includes all supplies and snacks each day. Wine Tasting & Art Auction to Benefit Kinfolk

Wine Tasting & Art Auction to benefit Kinfolk - Wednesday, July 19, 2017 - 5:30 to 7:30 PM - Virden Center at the University of Delaware, 700 Pilottown Road, Lewes. Kinfolk supplies free laptop computers and internet access to hospitalized and homebound children to keep them in touch with family, school and friends and to help them fight the stress of their illness. Tickets are $30.00 - for tickets or information contact Kathy McNamara at 302-645-6971. Tickets will also be available at the door.

Peach Blossom: Quilts in the Orchard
Ocean Waves Quilt Guild Show 2017

The Show will feature an exhibition of over 300 judged quilts, a themed Peach Blossom quilt challenge, Raffle Basket drawings, a fabulous Merchants Mall with numerous vendors with quilting and non-sewing items for sale, on-site food service, Second Time Around Shop and Demonstrations.

The show will be open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Friday and Saturday July 21 and 22, 2017 with food service available. Admission is $8/day or $14 for a two day pass. Free park-ing is available at Cape Henlopen High School, 1250 Kings Highway, Lewes, DE 19958.

The World is coming to Delaware. Delaware is hosting the 2017 Little League Senior Softball World Series in Sussex County, July 30-August 5, 2017. Participants represent 14-16 yr old girls from the U.S. East, U.S. West, U.S. South, U.S. Southwest, U.S. Central, Latin America, Canada, Europe, Asia Pacific, as well as a team from Delaware District III. We are excited that the final games will be carried live on ESPN and/or ESPN2.

Professional Cheerleaders from the Washington Redskins and Baltimore Ravens will lead this exciting Cheer and Dance camp July 31-August 4 in the Rehoboth Beach area.
