406 Federal St. and Legislative Avenue – Free concert featuring The Funsters. No admission, but bring a canned good for local food pantries. Barbecue dinners will be sold to raise funds for Dover Days Festival. www.visitdover.com
- May 2, 2009 - Delaware’s 76th Annual Old Dover Days
Saturday, May 2, 2009 – Get out your Colonial refinery and join Delawareans as they celebrate the 76th anniversary of Old Dover Days. This year’s event will get underway at 7 a.m. with a pancake breakfast followed by a crafts and artisan fair at 8 a.m. A parade will decorate the town starting at 9 a.m., followed by traditional maypole dancing, musical entertainment, museum and history tours, reenactments, pet costume contest and parade, children’s activities; foods of every flavor and more until 5 p.m. Events take place on Legislative Mall, Downtown Dover and The Green. Unlimited play for $5.00/person will help tremendously in supporting our search for a cure. 100% of the proceeds will benefit the American Cancer Society’s Relay For Life on May 8th & 9th.
