Historic museum offers a glimpse into Ocean City’s past with exhibits of shipwrecks & rescues. New exhibit, “The Boardwalk of Yesterday,” will call to mind a simpler time & evoke memories of years past. Other displays include bathing fashions, mermaid displays, sands from around the world, marine aquariums & “Davy Jones” locker. Unique gift shop with interesting selection of nautical gifts & books.  Small admission fee. Art League of Ocean City Exhibit & Receptions
Art League Building, 94th St., Bayside
Continuous exhibits featuring local & regional artists, complemented by a monthly reception, held the first Friday of each month, February through October, from 5-7 p.m. Light refreshments offered.  Free & open to the public. White Marlin Festival & Crab Soup Cook Off

The OC Downtown Association kicks off the summer season with 6th annual event. Taste & help judge the resort’s finest crab soups for a small fee. Enjoy music, clowns, facepainters, magicians. Celebrate the arrival of spring & summer in Ocean City! This festival is four fun-filled days of continuous entertainment, clever arts & crafts & food vendors galore. Over 184 crafters in two huge big-top tents, along with gourmet vendors, commercial vendors & food vendors offering everything from the exotic to traditional Eastern Shore fare. Entertainment is free with the exception of nighttime headline acts on Thursday, Friday & Saturday evenings at 8 p.m. This year’s headlines include: Thursday, “Captain Fantastic,” an Elton John tribute; Friday, “The Country Rat Pack,” with Richie McDonald, Tracey Byrd, & Tracey Lawrence; Saturday, “Teen Idols,” with Peter Noone of Hermans Hermits, Mickey Dolenz of The Monkeys & Mark Lindsay of Paul Revere & the Raiders.

Admission to the festival is free; so bring the entire family to enjoy this wonderful spring event.  Festival runs Thurs.-Sat.,  10 a.m. to 10 p.m.; Sunday, 10 a.m.- 6 p.m. Tickets for headline entertainment on sale at the Roland E. Free parking is available at the West Ocean City Park & Ride. Park free & ride shuttle bus to Springfest for $1.  Ride the Boardwalk Tram to the Inlet for $3 each way.  Express trolley shuttles will depart from the south lot of the Roland E. Powell Convention Center at 40th Street, ride all day for $2.
