Springfest PhotoOcean City's famous season-ending fall festival features big-top tents brimming with arts and crafts, ethnic and regional food, children's activities, treasure hunts, and great entertainment including nationally known acts.

Past entertainers have included the Jerry Garcia Band, .38 Special and David Gates of Bread fame.

From Sept. 19-22, four big-top tents at the inlet will offer food, arts and crafts, hayrides, and more. Admission is free except for the main event concerts.

Call 1-800-OC-OCEAN as the event draws closer for a schedule of entertainers and tickets.

For kids, Sunfest features scare-crow making, face painting, hay rides along the beach, pony rides, pumpkin carving, pie-eating contests, kite demonstrations, and another evening bonfire.

More than 30 types of food are served, from traditional Eastern Shore seafood to German, Italian, Polish and Mexican. Crab Cake, Oyster Fritters, Cajun dishes, Chinese and Greek food will also be available.

The Sunfest Kite Festival runs from 9 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily on the beaches between Division and 6th streets.

Sunfest hours are from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday and from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Sunday. Parking is limited at Sunfest but 24-hour bus service is available for $2 a day. The Boardwalk Train will also be in operation.
