This home faces the end of Second Street. It includes an 18th century kitchen wing in back but its front section is newer.
It served as the home of Dr. Hiram Burton, a Lewes physician, president of the Medical Society of Delaware, and a two-term U.S. Congressman beginning in 1904. Dr. Burton was also director of the Queen Anne's Railroad.
Furnishings in the home were donated from the private collection of John P. Farrace. The home includes a reading room for those interested in Delaware history.
