Broadkill Beach/River: "Trout Man" Don Halverson ,J T Bolding and Bill Reel continue to catch flounder and limits of trout on Peeler Crabs at the Broadkill Beach. Captain Les Clemmer reported lots of croakers at the Broadkill Slough. Flounder and trout are being caught at the outer wall and at the anchorage on squid. Cody Shirk 8Yr old and his cousin Amanda Wagner 10 Yr old caught flounder up to 20-1/2" drifting roosevelt inlet. A 24" striper, trout, flounder and croakers were also reported.
Cape Henlopen Pier: Spot are starting to show up caught on bloodworms along with nice catches of flounder and trout.
Surf: Small blues are in the suds at 3 R's Road.
Offshore: Jim Helwig, Clarence Becker and Gus caught a Mako at the Jackspot. Dan Mata aboard the Restless Lady caught a Mako at the 30 line and also released one. Captain Steve Peterson aboard the "Pandemonium" reported good catches of sea bass one mile south of B buoy with a few flounder mixed in. He also said he picked up trout 4 miles from the beach. Robert Bayshor Jr. caught a 9 Lb 6oz flounder at B buoy on squid.
Indian River: Anthony Baker landed 1 bluefish and 3 stripers on a spoon. Stillwater poppers, Yozuri poppers, Rattletraps, Mirrolures and Bucktails were successful at catching a mixed bag of fish at the Inlet. Visa Lo weighed in a 15Lb striper. Ralph and Richard Morgan caught two stripers up to 31". Steve "Striper Killer" Kiibler and Dale Becker caught trout up to 7Lbs. Blues and flounder were taken drifting squid and minnows." Tip Top Van" got a keeper on a live eel. Jeff Turner and Roger Gross aboard the Reel Hard nailed 22 stripers with two keepers drifting through Massey's Ditch on jig and worm combos and plugs.
