Roosevelt Inlet: J.J. Hudson checked in with a nice catch of trout weighing up to 4 - 1/2 Lbs caught on chartruese ice fin s on a jig head. Darrell Johnson hooked up with a 5-1/2Lb trout caught on bloodworms. Bill Newcomber boated 11 trout drifting the north jetty. A 6lb weakie was caught by Ted Pence on Peeler crab and chicken combo.
Broadkill River: Bill Reel loaded his cooler this week with nice trout caught on peeler crabs.
Delaware Bay: A 62 - 1/2 lb black drum was brought in to the scales by Eric Vitelli who caught this 47" fish at the coral beds on sea clams. Mark Ellis boated a 34" striper at brown shoals . The outher wall was productive for Morris and Lenni Lapi who brought Tog in up to 7 Lbs using green crabs.
Surf: Congratulations to Sport Grey who placed first in the Bethany Fenwick Surf Tournament. Squid, Mullet and bloodworms brought some small blues and blowfish to the surf angler at Dewey Beach, North Pocket and 3 R's Rd.
Offshore: Bluefish in the 12 to 15 Lb class were caught trolling rag mops and hootchies and pony tails from B buoy to the De. Light Ship. Pandeminium Charters returned with large catches of blues from the southeast grounds and Scott Fink nailed 8 blues close to the light ship. Ocean wrecks and artificial reefs wre productive for bottom bouncers as lots of nice seabass and some Tog were taken on live sand fleas and squid.
Indian River: Striped Bass fishing was hot at the Indian River Inlet as anglers weighed in citation fish. Brian Elliott nailed a 27.8 Lb striper on a rigged eel. Steve Wright nailed a 24.4 Lber on a plug. Art Ulrich and Kerry Lodish a 20-5/8 lber on eels.Steve Lasher a 20.6 Lber. Bobbi Jo and Jim Smith used white bucktails and yellow worms to entice and catch their stripers. Trout and stripers were also reported in front of the coast gaurd station on jig heads with salt and pepper fin S.
