Delaware Lightship -- 59 degrees
Lewes -- 63 degrees As of June 10, 2000

Broadkill Beach/River: Broadkill beach has been giving up good numbers of trout. Chris Birkhart nailed a 24 1/2 lb striper on a peeler crab and Parker Atwood caught 4 trout at Broadkill Beach. Don Halverson, Jack Gray and J.T. Bolding caught a mixed bag of fish including 20 trout up to 8 lbs, a striper and a small blackdrum on the River side.

Roosevelt Inlet: Bob Peaco brought a 5 1/2 lb flounder to the scales caught on minnows and squid. John Bernath, Jason and John and Nick Trampos caught trout up to 7 1/2 lbs on peeler crabs.

Delaware Bay: Captain Les Clemmer reported flounder 18 to 20" at the Anchorage; trout and flounder at C buoy and the Beach Ball. He caught bluefish a 1/2 mile from the beach. Keeper stripers were caught drifting Brown Shoals on live eels.

Surf: Stripers and blues are hitting mullet north of the Inlet. At 3 R's Rd. blues and black tip sharks are hitting mullet.

Offshore: Nice size sea bass and flounder mixed in are hitting at 'B' buoy and the Southeast Grounds.

Indian River: The South Jetty gave up stripers on a top dog mirror lure. Orange belly lures were productive for trout. Drifting Indian River Bay from 19A buoy to the Coast Guard Station, anglers are picking up trout, flounder and blues.
