Offshore: A mixed bag of fish is rewarding the ocean bottom bouncers. Captain Bill and Kathy Baker caught Tau Tog, Sea Bass Triggerfish , Sheepshead and Flounder on sand fleas, squid and shiners 3 miles from the Indian River Inlet. Harry Miller and Joe Marko limited out on flounder to 5 Lbs at 'A' buoy on Aqua Clear Rigs tipped with minnows and squid. The southeast grounds are producing large sea bass , flounder and croaker. Offshore action has remained consistant. Jeff Turner and crew aboard the " Reel Hard" returned from east of the dog with 2 yellowfin and 4 dolphin. On trips to "poormans" and Hot Dog, Mike Fleming caught 16 yellowfin, longfin and at least 20 dolphin. Logan Tell and Mate Robbie Hearn boated a 95Lb yellowfin chunking the Hambone. Crazy Dave caught a 50 Lb tuna at the Hambone. Charter boats trolled up billfish at the 30 fathom line with an occasional Wahoo. Michael D did well on longfin tuna at the wilmington and has been doing good on yellowfin at the baltimore.
Delaware Bay: "Goldie" and crew filled their cooler with 29 keeper flounder on yellow top and bottom rigs and flounder belly at the triangle in 45' of water. Bill Newcomer weighed in a six pound flattie and Bruce Johnstone and Kyle Pender caught flounder up to six Lbs on minnows and squid. Mark Ellis and Don Rogers boated flounder and trout at 'A' buoy and the anchorage.
Cape Henlopen Pier: The Pier is producing spot, Croaker and occasional trout on bloodworms and peelers.
Roosevelt Inlet: Michelle Smith caught 2 trout at Roosevelt Inlet dunking yellow teasers tipped with peeler crab.
Surf: Tom Flanagan reports large numbers of blues caught on fresh mullet an the Rehoboth surf. Walter Bunting caught bluefish up to 28" at 3R's Road on cut spot and mackerel.Blues are hitting the surf at Dewey Beach. Blues , Flounder , Trout and black bass were caught by Ian Harding and family at the Cape Henlopen surf.
Indian River: The Indian River Inlet was productive, Peter Vo, Kerry Lodish and Mike Szemski nailed stripers on eels. Don Halverson caught a 5-1/2 Lb trout on live eels. Chris Shepherd reported 3 short stripers, Tau Tog and sheepshead all on sand fleas. Drifting the inlet, Abe Melnick caught 2 stripers and Dave Hazzard boated 3 keeper trout and six small blues.
