Lewes, Delaware Fishing Report |
The big news of the week is from the Broadkill Beach! Don Halverson weighed in a 5.25 Lb Trout caught on chicken soaked in peeler oil and Steve Kiibler and Geoff Pfezy bagged 3 trout and 3 blues.
Trout are hitting the Lewes Beach, Kevin Borden the 2nd caught 4 trout up to 14" and blowfish at the roosevelt inlet beach.
The Indian River Inlet was productive for Bill German who hooked up with 7 stripers using white bucktails, eels and mackerel. Nice size blues were reported in the indian river bay and in front of the Coast Guard Station.
Tau Tog are being caught from Massey's Landing and the rocks at the Indian River Inlet on Green Crabs.
Marshall Brown weighed in a 1.9 Lb pickerel taken from Diamond Pond on minnows.
Turtle excluders are now available. Bill's will be open until 10PM Friday night for the anglers entered in the Bethany-Fenwick Surf Tournament. We also have applications for that tournament here at the store.
Don't forget that Sunday May 6th. is the annual Blessing of the fleet at Fisherman's Warf in Lewes. Music, speakers and the parade will kick of our season. Take your boat , all are welcome.
