Webmaster's Note: This Lewes fishing report was provided by Capt. Thomas Brejwa of Fishhawk Charters Inc. (use your back button to return to Beach-Net).
The fishing this spring has gotten off to a good start.
Mackerel are being caught by hardy fisherman willing to take the punishment of rough seas and cool temperatures, produced by the prevailing weather patterns.
The mack are being caught from DB buoy south to Ocean City and beyond, when the boats can get out.
Stripers can be found at 8A & 8B buoys and Overfalls Shoal.
The wreck fishing has produced nice Tog, and when the water warms a bit more, Sea Bass will start to move in.
There's been a Flounder or two caught while Striper fishing, so it should'nt be too much longer before things really start to pick up.
