Large Trout are being weighed in daily from Broadkill Beach, reports Kathy Baker of Bill's Sport Shop.
According to Baker, Don Halverson beached a 7.25-pound Trout and limited out on peeler crabs. John Miller caught a citation Kingfish, also on a peeler.
Striper fishing in the Delaware Bay has been steady at Overfalls Shoals with keepers taken on live eels. Trout and Flounder are being picked up drifting with squid and minnows.
William Deitman weighed in a 7 5/6-pound Tautog from the Wall, while Ed Buckley nailed a 6.5- and a 7-pound Trout on minnows at Roosevelt Inlet. Jason Caldersone caught a 6.5-pound Trout on peeler crabs and Jake Murdick reported an 8.5-pound Trout on chicken.
The Cape Henlopen State Park pier continues to be hot. James Tapert weighed in a 5.75-pound Trout on a Fin S jig while Bob Cazille weighed in a 4.25-pound Flounder on minnows. Blowfish are being picked up on peeler crabs and squid. Bluefish and small Stripers have also been reported from there.
The Navy Crossing proved productive for Bill Weiss and Rick Seeling, who caught Trout on chicken.
In the surf at 3 Rs Road just south of Indian River Inlet, Tim Finkbiner caught 4 Stripers and 1 large Bluefish on bloodworms and mullet.
At Indian River Inlet, Harry Lewis caught a 22.5-pound Striper on a black bomber, while "Tip Top" Van caught his Striper on a mirrolure and Gary Nureck and Bob Cazille had luck with live eels.
Mike Schad and Lisa Keppley boated 2 Flounder and 6 Bluefish in the Rehoboth Bay on bucktails and minnows and George Fake and his brother Lloyd boated 16 Flounder on minnows.
Offshore, Slammer Blues were caught on the troll by Steve Lamborn on green hoochies and Stretch 25 lures at the Pimple. Lots of Blues are being reported roaming the ocean from the Pimple down to the Delaware Lightship.
