New this summer, Ocean City debuts 100 Nights of Lights beginning Memorial Day weekend and running nightly through Labor Day from 9pm to 11pm. This new lighting attraction features high-powered searchlights that will accent the sky and surrounding area around N. Division Street and the Boardwalk.  Searchlights will move and sway, creating a dance of light to musical selections played through boardwalk speakers. The lights change into a variety of colors, bathing the surrounding beach scape and boardwalk in vibrant colors.

Out of the Darkness Suicide Prevention Walk

Online registration closes at noon on September 22.  However, anyone who would like to participate can register in person at the walk from the time check-in begins until the walk starts.  Walk donations are accepted until December 31.  When you walk in the Out of the Darkness Walks, you join the effort with hundreds of thousands of people to raise awareness and funds that allow the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention (AFSP) to invest in new research, create educational programs, advocate for public policy, and support survivors of suicide loss.  Thanks to walkers and donors like you, AFSP has been able to set a goal to reduce the annual suicide rate 20% by 2025.

The perennial Ocean City fall favorite, “Wine on the Beach,” will celebrate its 22nd year at the coastal resort. The event takes place at the Inlet, where the historic boardwalk begins. The festival, featuring wines of the East Coast, will be open Friday, September 29, and Saturday, September 30, from 11am to 7pm.

In addition to the vast array of wine offerings, there will be several vendors offering an array of Regional cuisine. Also featured are arts and craft vendors and assorted micro-brewed beers for purchase.

Popular local recording artists will provide entertainment on the oceanfront stage throughout the festival.

Stroll from winery to winery with the souvenir tasting glass that comes with admission. Mingle with friends while sipping fine wine, marvel at the fine arts and crafts on display, and relax by the sand stage with tasty treats while enjoying live music. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy the entertainment and sea breezes.

Tickets for the festival are $35.00 (General Admission) at the gate. The cost includes a commemorative wine glass and sample coupons. For those who don’t drink, General Admission includes commemorative wine glass and unlimited soft drinks from the designated driver location. Children ages 13-20 are $15.00 and must be accompanied by a parent. Children age 12 and under are free.
