Summer Sunrise over the Atlantic Ocean in Dewey Beach, Delaware.
Besides helping us perfect our tans or providing warm temperatures for our favorite outdoor activities, the Sun gives us an awesome display of colors along the Delaware and Maryland coast.
These pages will give you some idea of the kinds of awesome Sunrises and Sunsets we enjoy here on an almost daily basis throughout the year.

The sun setting on the Delaware Bay
The Delaware Bay provides another picturesque setting for sunsets. This picture was taken from aboard the Jolly Rover Tall Ship during a cruise a few years back. Other boats also offer sunset tours in the bay.

The sun setting on Quillen's Point in Cedar Neck
The sun creates some awesome fireballs as it sets over the Indian River Bay, as these photos taken from Quillen's Point in Cedar Neck will attest. And it doesn't matter what season it is, either. Winter, like spring, summer and fall, produces some of the most spectacular sunsets you could ever want to see.
Winter Sunset on the Indian River Bay
Even though it may not provide the warmth it does in the summer, the Winter Sun, nonetheless, still gives us plenty to look at with wild sunsets like this.
This photo was taken in February 1997 from a property on Cedar Neck that fronts the Indian River Bay.
