Misako Ballet Company

43rd Annual White Marlin Open

World's largest billfish tournament!  Come watch fish weigh-ins Monday thru Friday, 4pm to 9pm. at Harbour Island Marina on 14th Street. Over 300 boats vie for over $2 million in prize money. Artists Paint OC - A Plein Air Event

This annual event draws artists from all over to paint the scenic views of OC.  Watch artists at work as they set up their easels along the Boardwalk, bayside & beaches.  The Quick Draw Painting Event will cap off the weekend as artists race to complete a painting in only two hours.  Purchase their freshly painted works right from their easels.

Aug 12-13 - Artists will paint in the greater OC area.
Aug 14 - Artists will gather at S. Division St. and paint from beach to bay and inlet to Caroline St.

Capt. Steve Harman's Poor Girls Open

The Poor Girls Open is a ladies-only billfish release tournament benefiting breast cancer research.  There are also added entry levels for tuna and dolphin.  This tournament was started by Capt. Steve Harman as a way for local waitresses and bartenders to have an affordable and fun competition while raising money for a very important cause.  The tournament continues to grow with over 100 boats entering.  Participation is not limited only to anglers, as there are silent auctions, 50/50 tickets, T-shirts for sale, and other fun events helping to raise money for brease cancer research.  In the past three years alone, the Poor Girls Open has raised over $100,000 that was donated to the American Cancer Society.  For more information, visit www.bahiamarina.com.

OC SANDFEST

Back by popular demand!  Experience all of the fun at the 3rd Annual Ocean City Sandfest.  OC Sandfest will feature giant sand sculptures along the beautiful Ocean City boardwalk with special family attractions and activities.

Watch as master champion sand sculptors transform the smooth beach sand into massive works of art.  Sculptures will remain on display all week.  Stroll along the Boardwalk from N. Division Street to 4th Street to see these breathtaking sculptures.

There will be a Sand Sculpting Classes and a Family Sand Sculpting Demonstration.  Prizes will be awarded.  Gather your friends and family and join the fun!  All events will be taking place on the beach near N. Division Street and are weather permitting.
