Family Bonfire on the Beach

S'mores, hot cocoa, storytelling, and live music!  Bring your beach chairs for a night of fun by the bonfire!  Families of all shapes and sizes.  Pre-registration is requested, but we will accept registration at the beach.  Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. Drive in Disguise and Halloween Boardwalk Parade - OPEN TO EVERYONE!

Residents and visitors with a vintage Ocean City license plate are invited to ride down the Boardwalk during the annual OC Vintage License Plate Rally, which will take place Saturday, October 22. Continuing with the Drive in Disguise theme, anyone wishing to decorate their car also will be invited to ride down the Boardwalk. Decorated cars will join the OC vintage plate cars during the rally, which will roll-off at 27th Street at 3 p.m.  Vehicles will drive off the Boardwalk at the Inlet Parking Lot.

Bicycles are also welcome.  Of course, the bicycles need to be decorated and participants need to register. There will be a category for best decorated bicycle and rider.

The public will be able to vote for their favorite decorated car. Each vote is one dollar. A People’s Choice trophy as well as additional trophies will be awarded. A group photo will be taken of all vehicles and drivers. In addition, various local organizations will have information booths set up and a DJ will play music. Several local businesses will offer a 15% discount to participants for the weekend.

There is no fee for those with an Ocean City ‘vintage’ license plate (these are not vintage car tags but the special Ocean City plate). There is a $25 donation fee for non-vintage license plate participants and those vehicles must be decorated. Proof of insurance is required for all participants. Proceeds from the event will be benefit the Ocean City Downtown Association. Registration forms are available at www.downtownassociation.net. HOWL-O-WEEN PET PARADE

This free event offers lots of prizes and surprises for best-dressed pets, family and friends.  Gather your goblins, dress in your best costume and parade the boards.  Free with donation of pet food or other pet-friendly item to Humane Society.

Registration is at 12pm.  Parade starts at 1pm.

7th Annual Local's Appreciation Week

Attention all Ocean City lovers.  During the week of October 24-31, 2016, the Ocean City Museum Society is offering "FREE" admission and 10% off gift shop purchases to any visitor who considers themselves a "local" (anyone who loves Ocean City and considers it their home for a day, month, year). GREAT PUMPKIN RACE
