Atlantic General Hospital's 23rd Annual Penguin Swim

Celebrate New Year's Day by "getting wet for a good cause."  A New Year's tradition for many, this annual dip into the chilly Atlantic Ocean benefits local, not-for-profit hospital, Atlantic General.  Registration and check-in begin at 11:30am with a 1pm swim.  Pre-registration and advance check-in from 2-4pm on New Year's Eve.  Arrive early or stay late and enjoy carnival games and other exciting fanfare in the hotel's atrium.  Special recognition for Best Costume and Oldest and Youngest Penguins, plus 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place trophies awarded to top fundraising individuals and teams.  Same-day registration is available at no extra charge.  For more information, visit www.aghpenguinswim.org or email penguinswim@atlanticgeneral.org.

Mayor's New Year's Day Concert (featuring the Delmarva Big Band & Bryan Russo)

Join Ocean City Mayor Rick Meehan and members of the Ocean City Council for a special New Year's Day Concert Event at the breathtaking Performing Arts Center.  FREE for the whole family, residents, and visitors can mingle and meet the Mayor and City Council, along with representatives from several community organizations.  After the brief social gathering, the Delmarva Big Band will take the stage with Bryan Russo for a free concert in the state-of-the-art theater.

Meet & Greet with the Mayor & City Council from 1pm to 1:30pm

Doors to the Performing Arts Center open at 1:30pm

Concert begins promptly at 1:45pm

2017 Mayor's Prayer Breakfast

January 13, 2017

7am to 9am at the Clarion Fontainebleau Hotel on 101st Street

This event has been such an inspiration and uplifting morning, where the entire community would come together - including our local citizens, community leaders, elected officials, church congregations, local police and fire departments, the business community, the Board of Education, educators and school representatives, and nonprofit organizers.  It truly is the only event that spans the entire breadth of our community.

We are very excited to introduce Dr. Lou Ann Daly, the Key Note Speaker for this year's event.

Each of us is a CEO, Chief Energy Officer, of our own life.  How you invest your precious life force and gifts affects not only your health and vitality, but also the vitality of all you touch.

Four critical elements nurture the highest expression of ourselves and our work; they are clarity, courage, compassion, and faith.  And they map to the unique purpose and path of each of our lives.  The journey to become the highest version of ourselves and to create organizations and communities that support the highest expressions of ourselves is a choice offered continuously to each of us.

Guided by a path to more conscious, joy-filled, and purposeful lives, we will explore the role of each of the four nutrients at different stages in our lives, as a way to energize our dreams for 2017 and beyond.
