Mid-Atlantic Symphony Orchestra "East and West of the Rhine"

The soloist for the concert is violinist Virgil Boutellis and he will be playing Ernest Chausson's Poeme and Camille Saint-Saens Danse Macabre.  Also on that program will be Ma mere l'Oye by Maurice Ravel and Symphony No. 4 by Johannes Brahms.

Family Bonfire on the Beach

S'mores, hot cocoa, refreshments, storytelling, and live music!  Bring your beach chairs, beach blankets, and warm clothes for a night of fun by the bonfire!  Families of all shapes and sizes.  Pre-registration is requested, but we will accept registration at the beach.  Children under 16 must be accompanied by an adult. First Friday Opening Receptions are held the first Friday of every month at the OC Center for the Arts on 94th Street.

OC Beach Ultimate Classic Frisbee Tournament - October 14-15, 2017

Saturday & Sunday - 9am to 5pm, on the beach from Wicomico St. to Somerset St.

The OC Beach Classic is a two-day beach ultimate frisbee tournament in which teams of 10-15 players compete in 45-minute games. There are eight total rounds , and each team will play four games during pool play on Saturday and at least two games during bracket play on Sunday, culminating in a finals game to crown a champion.  The event is a Beach Ultimate Frisbee Tournament established under the offical BULA/USA ULTIMATE Rule Book 11th Edition.

Ocean City's only 24-hour rockfish tournament.  Prizes awarded for heaviest rockfish, flounder, trout, tautog and an open category. The American Cancer Society MSABC walks raise awareness and funds to save lives from breast cancer.  Ocean City, MD, is one of the only venues to host a 5K run, as well as a noncompetitive 5K walk that brings people together to make a difference for everyone who has been touched by breast cancer.  The event raises money to fund innovative research, provide free information, and support local programs.  Admission fees for runners is $35.  For more information, call 410-749-1635 or visit makingstrideswalk.org/oceancitymd.

O.C.TOBERFEST HALLOWEEN BEACH MAZE – Located at N. Division Street

Come experience the thrill of a giant Halloween Beach Maze during its two-weekend run, October 21-22 and October 28-29. Children of all ages, can enjoy a pleasant scream as they meander the sands of the giant, bigger and better beach maze! Wicked witches, pirates of the sand, scary scarecrows, ghouls in the graveyard, zombies and more will add to the excitement. Hours are 10am to 5pm on Saturdays and 10am to 3pm on Sundays. This event is FREE!

HOWL-O-WEEN PET PARADE – Located at N. Division Street on the Boardwalk

Bring your dog, cat, bird or other family pet for Ocean City’s “Howl-O-Ween Pet Parade”, October 22 on the boardwalk near N. Division Street. Dress up your pets and showcase your creativity on Ocean City’s historic Boardwalk or sit back, relax and cheer for your favorite contestant. Each entry gets their moment in the spotlight. Lots of prizes and surprises will be awarded. While the event is free to participate, donations of pet supplies and monetary donations will be collected to benefit the Worcester County Humane Society. Registration begins at 12pm with the pageant on the boardwalk beginning promptly at 1pm.

Swing for Youth Golf Open - October 28, 2017

Eagles Landing plays host to the OC Recreation Boosters 7th Annual Swing for Youth Golf Open, scheduled for Saturday, October 28, 2017.  This 4-person Florida scramble is a huge success, with sell-out crowds each year.  Participation is limited.  All-inclusive price of $125 per player, $500 per team.  Price includes greens fees and cart, two mulligans per person, putting contest, "Tame the Beast", and raffle tickets.  The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 10am.  All proceeds from this event will benefit the youth programs of Ocean City's Recreation and Parks.  For more information, call Eagles Landing Golf Course at 410-213-7277.

THE GREAT PUMPKIN RACE – Located on the beach at N. Division Street and the Boardwalk

The fun continues with “The Great Pumpkin Race” on Saturday, October 2, on the Boardwalk. Build your own pumpkin race car to bring and compete in this wacky and zany side-by-side down-hill race. Plus, there will be lots of room to watch these exciting races with live play-by-play by the event announcer. Prizes will be awarded in each division, as well as for creativity. HALLOWEEN SPOOK-OUT PARTY – Northside Park Recreation Complex, 125th Street

Get your Halloween costume ready and join all the other goblins at the Halloween “Spook Out” Party. Participants of all ages, including parents, will fill the Northside Park gym for carnival games, arts & crafts, hayrides, and snacks! Costume contests will be scheduled throughout the event.
