Walk for Recovery

September 7, 2019

The Atlantic Club along with a new partner, the Worcester County Warriors Against Opiate Addiction, will host a “Walk for Recovery” on Saturday, September 7, 2019 from 2pm to 5pm on the Ocean City Boardwalk. Registration will begin at 1pm at the Inlet Lot. It is in conjunction with Worcester Goes Purple, which is highlighting addiction awareness during national recovery month. Due to the current addiction epidemic in our community, we need financial support for 24-hr recovery services, resources to assist those going to and returning from treatment along with non-judgmental caring of those experiencing addiction. It has never been more important than today!

It will take the entire community working together to erase the stigma that is associated with the disease of addiction. You can support this cause by making a simple donation as a sponsor ranging from $100 to $1000 and show off your business logo on the participant tee-shirts. Or register as a participant or team! Registration fee is $20 per individual (first 50 will get a free T-shirt). Join us…create a team, wear purple and Walk to celebrate and advocate for recovery. All the proceeds of this event will go towards helping Worcester County individuals/families touched by the disease of addiction. The Atlantic Club offers college scholarships to Worcester County High School students who have been affected by addiction. The Warriors provide scholarships for individuals to get into rehab.
